Samsung Z9005 Redwood appears in a hands-on video

After getting spotted in live photos last month, the Tizen booting Samsung Z9005 made another appearance. This time around, the smartphone showed up in an extensive hands-on video. The video is close to ten minutes in length. It gives us a good glimpse of the device’s OS, including the settings and notifications menu, as well as the camera UI. See it below.
nsurprisingly, the OS of the Samsung Z9005 shares quite a few design bits with the Korean manufacturer’s TouchWiz UI for Android. The circular icons on the other hand, hark back to the MeeGo past of Samsung’s partner in the Tizen project – Intel.
Previous reports point that the Samsung Z9005 is a developer-only device. We are yet to see a consumer-bound Tizen smartphone go official.

New Samsung W2014 flip phone runs Snapdragon 800 processor

After the Galaxy Golden, Samsung has announced a new high-end Android-based flip phone, called the W2014. Samsung has partnered with China Telecom to make this handset for the 'Heart of the World' charity concert.

The W2014 is the fastest Samsung flip phone (and possibly the fastest flip phone, in general), with a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood, along with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory (with microSD card slot), 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 1900mAh battery and Android 4.3.
The W2014 has dual displays, just like the Galaxy Golden, with a 3.7-inch 800x480 resolution Super AMOLED panel on either side of the flip.
No price or launch date has been announced so far but be certain that it's not going to be cheap.

CyanogenMod 10.2 M1 brings Android 4.3 to over 70 devices

The latest numbers from Google show that manufacturers are still having a hard time delivering Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to their smartphones. Good thing the guys from the CyanogenMod team are here to help those in need.

The developers have published the M1 release of CyanogenMod 10.2, which is based on Android 4.3 and supports over 70 different devices. M1 stands for Milestone version, which slots between the stable ROMs and the betas that the team releases. It should be good enough for a daily driver, although some bugs are to be expected.
By the way, the CM team has confirmed that it’s already began its work on bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to the project, but it will also continue its work on CM 10.2 and come out with a perfectly stable version eventually.
Good luck with the flashing!
